As an Eastender myself, and a huge Eastenders fan, it was with great honour that we were able to assist writer Deborah Gilbert, who blogs British TV for PBS station ThirteenWNET in New York, and current cast member Luisa Bradshaw-White in a recent print job. The cast and crew are organising a rare meet and greet to raise funds for a popular crew member who was diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour at the age of 28 while 20 weeks pregnant.
The event will help to raise money for the crew member in question, who now needs £30,000 for an operation in Germany. The event is due to be held at the Elstree Centre in Borehamwood this Sunday 26th June. All the cast will be in attendance and ticketed entry will mean you get to meet all your favourites, grab autographs and make those all important selfies! Tickets can be purchased here and more information surrounding the event can be found here.
Best of luck to all involved, we hope you reach your target. If you cannot make the event but would like to donate instead, you can do so here. Lots of love from the Indigo Team.
Thank you for you help getting this together Jo! The cast and crew of EastEnders have often helped up with our PBS fund drives over here, so when I heard about the crew member in need of assistance, I knew our New York fan group would want to help out, as a way of saying thank you for all the support we have received. Hopefully it will be a successful event on Sunday and a successful treatment for the EE crew member! Thanks!
